- Are my JPG files uploaded?
- No. File contents are processed in your browser on your device, rather than uploaded to ReFormatic.
- Will converting JPG to JPEG XL reduce quality?
- JPEG XL supports both lossy and lossless encoding. The default photo setting may use lossy compression; choose a lossless option when available if you need to avoid further compression loss.
- What happens to photo metadata and GPS location?
- The default privacy setting removes private EXIF details such as GPS location, serial numbers and owner names. Other metadata is kept only when the output format and encoder support it. You can choose to preserve or remove metadata in the settings.
- Can I convert many files at once?
- You can add up to 500 files to a batch, set a common format or adjust files individually, then download multiple results as a ZIP. Large batches may be limited by your device’s available memory.
