Are my AVIF files uploaded?
No. File contents are processed in your browser on your device, rather than uploaded to ReFormatic.
Will converting AVIF to PNG reduce quality?
PNG can avoid further lossy compression, but it cannot restore detail already lost in the AVIF source. Resizing, palette conversion, flattening or unsupported features can still change the result.
What happens to photo metadata and GPS location?
The default privacy setting removes private EXIF details such as GPS location, serial numbers and owner names. Other metadata is kept only when the output format and encoder support it. You can choose to preserve or remove metadata in the settings.
Can I convert many files at once?
You can add up to 500 files to a batch, set a common format or adjust files individually, then download multiple results as a ZIP. Large batches may be limited by your device’s available memory.
